April 5, 201214 yr XP SP3 - FS9.1 Never flew in or out of KSEA - its never been more than the default before loading something else. I have the stunning Flightzone KPDX but for some reason have under-valued/used it and always gone South from there. I have just strted buzzing around those lakes, rivers and gorges to the West of KSEA and see that pretty much all my coastiines are bad - it looks like UT has given me the detailed coasts but left the originals, more rounded, less detailed and separate from the land. At this moment I have only FSGlobal `05 mesh, My World Landclass, UT-USA + Can-Alaska, FZone KPDX with the UT patch, and the default KSEA . Vertex level is 21 but the problem is the same at 19. Whats the problem and whats the solution? (I would have attached a shot but cant see how.) Thanks.
April 5, 201214 yr What's the order you have them set in in your scenery.cfg file? Mine are Set UT Canada/Alaska, UT USA, FSGLC (FsGenesis Mesh) KPDX, KSEA. Clarke Kruger - CYEG
April 5, 201214 yr You installed the patch titled "FZ02-UTUSA"? If so, the only other solution I can think of is a possible conflict between "My World Landclass" and UT, since it's also a landclass program. John G.
April 5, 201214 yr Author Its not My World LC: the results are the same without it. (And My World only brings land detail like cities or forests, not coastlines.) Mesh on top of UT? I thought everything had to be laid over mesh. The patch is applied correctly: running it again says "Nothing to do". But - is it the right patch? It reads v130. This is s shame cos I have just discovered how neat that whole area up to Victoria/Vancouver is: now I understand the "low and slow" guys with their rusty old Beavers and Otters. Looking for solutions to this problem I have found lots of files for the Columbia River Gorge and all the fixes necessary to run it with UT and meshes. I suppose one radical solution might be to install the Gorge files, and the fixes, and see if that "forces" the default coastlines to disappear. Otherwise I am at a loss. Thanks for trying.
April 6, 201214 yr I don't think you have the separate patch for Flightzone KPDX and Seattle; version 1.3 is a general UT patch. The patch file in question is "FZ02-UTUSA", which was created by the Flightzone developers. John G.
April 6, 201214 yr Author I have tried to find the patch - tried to find Flightzone! - but with no luck. Found a 2010 post from the late "Opa" Marshall saying that there was no patch. For non-UT users disabling some FZone LC files fixed the KSEA problem. There are other files to fix river elevations around KPDX but they too must be for non-UT cos they did nothing for me at KSEA. Why havent I been to the UT forum? Does one still exist? Will let you know. Thanks.
June 22, 201213 yr As I understand there is a patch that will fix this, and searching through different forums people seem to have been sent this patch via PM all the time so I can't either find a way to download it. It is supposed to be released by Flightzone and be a patch affecting the Seattle area where bad coastlines show up while using it together with UT USA. So please, if someone has it, send it to me.
November 14, 201213 yr Good evening, If this patch is still floating around can somebody please email it to me. I will PM my address. Thanks in Advance Brad
November 14, 201213 yr Read the manual and make quite certain that the entries in the scenery.cfg are in the exact order as listed. Notably the UtExcl, and the UtObjRepo
November 15, 201213 yr I have the files, but will be away from the computer a couple of days. PM me and I will send ASAP. Bill W.
