Hi,

 

I've some aircraft and helicopters that I have downloaded to use as ai aircraft and as such I never actually fly them myself. As they are not dedicated ai types they show up in the select aircraft screen. Is there any way to modify them so I can still have them as ai but they don't show up as aircraft available to the user in the select aircraft screen?

 

I have had a quick search around but have found nothing relevant.

I believe FSX is looking for aircraft.cfg files when You are changing a plane from the menu. Try to rename that file and see if it works. For default C172 the path would be [...]\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\C172\aircraft.cfg

Just rename or delete the panel.cfg of the ai planes
