Problem with AI traffic at KLAX

Featured Replies

The amount of traffic you should spot at KLAX depends on, of course, what airlines you have installed, as well as a lot of other factors. Here are somethings to take into account. Do the installed airlines use KLAX as a base of operations? The day of the week and time will also determine what is on the ground, departing and arriving. Try taking a look at KLAX on a Sunday morning at between 7:00am and 7:30am and see what you find.. Some of the empty areas in you screenshot are to be expected. As an example the area in your screenshot at top center right, next to 24L, is primarily set up for Alaska Airlines with a assortment of airlines a secondary users. The other empy area at center left it designated for Continental Airlines which is now merged into United. So that area will be empty and basically unusable until the AFCAD parking assignments are changed / updated. As I mentioned before, the AFCAD is not entirely up to date, so don't be to disappointed with the results. Adding more traffic that uses KLAX will naturally put more planes there as long as there are parking spots for that airline designated.

Mel

if it helps, heres a screenshot of the addon scenery/scenery folder

Hi There I saw that in your scenery folder you have 2 AFCAD for KLAX.

1- AF2-KLAX.bgl 119 KB

2- AFCAD-KLAX.bgl. 50 KB.

These are duplicate AFCD, you need to keep only 1 of them.

You can check it with the AFCAD program, which one you prefer, or just remove 1 and start FS9, and check if you like it.

Then exist FS9, remove that file and put the other, and compare. the one you like most is the one you keep.

There is a program called scanAFCAD, download it, and you can check if you have a duplicate AFCAD somewhere in your system

Hope this help

With all due respect:

The duplicate had already been removed prior to your post. And please look more closely at what is listed just above AF2_KLAX.bgl in the screen shot. The OP already has the utilities you mention and may simply need a little more time and practice in order to use them properly.

No offence I hope, I was trying to help. I didn't notice that he used the scanAFD, and happy to know that the dupe was removed.

BTW I was not attacking him, on the contrary trying to help since some times your own eyes don't catch little thing.

So thanks for pointing that out.

At the end I hope he got what he was looking for, witch is tones of AI :)

I don't believe anyone was offended nor was anyone meaning to be offensive. If anyone came across that way it was me, . . . unintentionaly.

Best regards to all,

Mel
