NVIDIA Inspector vs. EVGA Precison X

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I currently use the EVGA Precison X program included with my GTX 560 (non -ti), but I've seen this Inspector thing in many threads about the NGX, and how it can fix blurriness. Precision pretty much lets you increase the clock speeds, memory, and fan speeds and voltages. That's it. In Inspector, can you restore to default settings? (Perhaps you mess something up)

Just wondering the community's experience. This only applies if you have a EVGA graphics card. Thanks! ^_^

Inspector is mainly for AA and AF.

Precision is for OC'ing and fan speed control.

Is it okay to use both? Will they conflict with each other? (For example, if Inspector says I have a XXX clock, and Precision says otherwise)

I use Inspector for OC and AA. Precision X is used for fan speed only.

Precisino is also good for monitoring things like gpu usage, video ram usage, gpu temp, etc.

The new Precision X also has a frame rate limiter - referred to as " Frame Rate Target".

I don't know if it accomplishes this the same way Inspector's frame rate limiter does or not?

I actually saw this feature but have yet to try it. It is probably the same kind of DX9 library 'hook' through D3D9.dll

Oh and one more thing Ben, can you reset to default settings in Inspector?

Yes, it is possible to reset to default by clicking the Nvidia icon within the profile editor.

Thanks Ben! Downloading it right now!

One last thing, can you figure out why this is happening? I was watching a YouTube video and this happened:

It has been happening some times when I full screen a YouTube video ever since I got 296.10. Is there a way I can roll-back?

First of all, remove the stickers.... :LMAO:

Just use driver sweeper and uninstall the driver, then upgrade to 310.24.

Hmm, I think 296.1 is the latest.
