tune ATIS in preparation for the arrival

Featured Replies

VoxATC bought a few weeks ago, I am generally satisfied with the product. Only I miss the ability to tune the ATIS of the arrival airport at 190 nm from it (I think in real flight goes something like that)

This is very useful, especially since it indicates the runway in use and you can program the STAR procedure, or simply can not build your work at the "last minute"

It may be possible that in VoxATC and have not been heard yet. I ask the more experienced tell me if there is any way to know before arriving at the first point of the STAR, the active runway for landing.

Flight chiefly with PMDG B737-800 NGX

Sorry if it is not expressed (I am translating with Google translator from Spanish language). Thanks

Hola,

Your translation is good :) If you know the ATIS frequency in advance from charts etc. then you should get to know the RWY.

If you are using the PMFG 738 then it should be easy to input the STAR into the FMC at the last minute.

I can hear the ATIS about 60 nm of the destination. When used PFE, could hear the ATIS at 190 nm, although often "tricked me" and when I was about 30 nm of fate I changed the runway...

Thank you for your interest

I beleve there is a program called RealAtis that will push the range to about 100 miles out.
