Greetings all. When viewing the king air from tower view I see transparent boxes around the exterior lights. Also the landing and taxi lights don't show the light flare like other aircraft. Is this intentional or a bug? Is there a fix? The beacon just shows red not a real flash.

 

Otherwise the rest of the aircraft looks and sounds great. I think it would be nice to complete the package with amazing lights.

I see the same thing, mainly in tower and fly-by modes.

It is an odd thing. When in VC view I can see a faint large box way out in front. Must be from the taxi and landing lights. Not enough to make it anoying. But it is there. I am wondering if it is a setting on my video card causing this. Or how my video card is rendering the lights. Does it matter if I am in DX10 mode or not? I can try running in DX10 mode to see if this improves things. Sort of like the PMDG Jetstream if you have Icing checked on in the configuration menu it gives these flashing white boxes on the screen. However on the king air they don't flash in exterior views...

 

I look forward to the updates for this plane. It is amazing. Glad to have a quality King Air back in the hanger. I used to service these and other corporate planes during my ramper days. Nice to actually fly one...

Kevin, I forgot to add:

1) tick off the DX10 box

2) turn off the light blooms

 

it should take care of the problem, or maybe it's the tower view, of course... ATC controllers like to see us in different ways !

I have a pic of what the light boxes. How do I share with the forum? I don't see an upload button. I don't have a server to share the photo on.

 

This only seems to be during the day. I flew at night and did not notice the boxes. I see them in ATC view and it is very slight in VC out front. I really don't notice in VC view unless I'm looking for it. ATC is more apparent. I have DX10 off. I like the blooms, but I can turn off to see if that fixes. None the less, its a great addon and this is a minor issue for me... Just curious about it in the search of knowledge to learn something new.... :-)
