some probs after update

Featured Replies

Hey Bryan,

I'm a experienced and usually very happy FS2Crew owner/user.

But I experienced two particular problems in my flights with the NGX and the voice copilot. And I would like to know if they occure due to false use or if they are bugs.

1. After the update I have a problem to trigger the preflight checklist. I can see that the speech recognition get "preflight checklist", but nothing happens. I does only work after switching one step forward and one step back to the preflight checklist. I never had issues with this before the update.

2. In the landing checklist, there is the point "landing flaps" (I don't remember the exact words of the FO by now), I responded with "30 green light", "set", "checked", nothing worked for me. The one thing that triggers the next FO call ("landing checklist complete") is when I say "next". I had this issue also before the update.

These are the two things that bother me, the rest works smooth and fine.

Hi Daniel,

1. You're probably trying to call for the Pre Flight checklist while the FO is out during the walkaround.

Maybe sure you see the * symbol (PreFlight*) before you ask for the checklist.

Did you see PreFlight checklist in the Green Bar?

2. You need to say: "Flaps 30 Green Light".... just add the "flaps" part.

Cheers,

Bryan,

thank you for your fast response and solutions.

As for no. 1, I call for the Preflight checklist when the time is T-1 or already disappeared completely. I do see the * symbol before calling for it and like I said in the original post, I see "preflight checklist" in the green bar when I call for it.

As for no. 2, I'll try that out, should fix the problem.

Hey Bryan,

the issue with the flaps on landing is solved, thank you for that.

But from time to time, I do experince troubles with calling for the preflight checklist.

As an example today: I waited for the Fo to say "I'm ready for the checklist" and made sure to see the * symbol behind the text in the box.

Then I called for "preflight checklist" and saw the green band that said "preflight cheklist" but nothing happend. I tried it a few times, but the only thing that helped was switching to BEFORE START PROCEDURE and back again to PREFLIGHT CHEKLIST with the arrow buttons.

Either way, I do not have any problems with the other checklists.

Yes, I'm using a saved panel state, because I don't want to turn random failures on manually before every flight. Is that a problem?

I've never experienced that one.

Try it without the 'saved panel state'.

The randomness makes it hard to explain.

Wilco and report back what the result is. Thanks in advance.

Hey Bryan,

absolutely no problems with the default cld n drk panel state.

Does that mean that I can't use my copilot when I'm using costum panel states?
