is it possible to start an IFR Flight from an airport without ATC?

I created an IFR Flightplan (LOLW to EDNY) and tried it but voxATC treats me like a VFR-Flight :Thinking:

I know this may sound obvious but did you load the flight plan before you hit the fly now button?

added to mwilk question, could you post here the Flight plan in question?

It was just a simple flightplan created with "planG" from LOLW via SBG vor, direct to EDNY. And yes i loaded the flightplan as IFR before i hit the "fly" button.

If i try the same flightplan from a controled airport it works fine.

Maybe some can try it out....a simple IFR flight from LOLW to EDNY and then please report what happens...

can you open the PLN file (the plan you had problems with) with notepad and paste the content?

I want to recreate that exact flight.
