Flaps and warning horn sounds too quiet

Featured Replies

Hi!

I have a problem with the 210. The flaps sound is barely noticable, as is the warning horn, when throttle is at idle and the landing gear not down.

I tried the 337 and there all the sounds work okay.

Any suggestions?

If this is normal, can someone please confirm? I am a little at a loss here. So far every Cessna had that typical loud flap sound and the unmistakable sound of the gear retracting.

Is this not present with the 210?

I think you'll find that the forums for planes that have been out for a while don't get a lot of current traffic. Most major questions have been answered, and people stop actively monitoring them as most answers are already in the archives.

I haven't been actively flying the 210 of late, but my I don't recall thinking anything was terribly off. Just loaded the plane quickly and checked the flaps and gear warning and they seemed fine to me. The flaps are a bit quieter than the 337, but if anything I'd say the 337 is just slightly exagerated in its flap volume. Both sound very much like Cessna flaps to me.

But they both are Cessnas?

That was the point. In other words, they sound like they should on my system.
