If you try to set your settings up in the settings (display settings) meny, it will maybe help you a little!Try to turn Mip map mapping quality higher, and check if it will be better!Hope this will help you :)

Hi Nick, the best way would be to remove the Mips from the texture. To do that, open it in Imagetool (came with FS2002, also available for download at Microsoft). Click on 'Image', then 'Extract Mipmaps', close all except the one with a zero in it, then save.Cheers,Gostahttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg

Hi Nick,I couldn't find it either... :) Anyway, if you have FS2002, it's located in the 'FS2002gmaxFlightsimgamepacksFlightSim' folder. The file's name is 'imagetool.exe' - if you don't have FS2002 installed, you should be able to get it off one of the discs. If you don't have FS2002 at all, maybe you can find it on the Gmax site. You could also do a search for 'DXTBmp' here in the library - this will do a similar job, but you have to be careful with DXT3 textures (best to convert them to 32-bit beforehand).Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg

According to Microsoft's FS2004 site, the imagetool is included with the "GMAX Gamepack SDK" wich is downloadable from here:http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimul...wnloads_sdk.aspIt should be in the tools folder in the SDK pack.

Gosta,i got the Dxtbmp program but now i have no clue what to do next! i tried some things but now half the texture wont show hahaplease help me!check screen for the included texture in the texture folder:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/72364.jpgcheersNick

Hi Nick, first, open DXTBmp, go to 'File', select 'Load Extended Image', and locate your texture (the one that ends in '_t.bmp') and open it. Then, under 'Prefs' uncheck 'Include Mips'. Then click on 'File', 'Save Extended Image', point to the appropriate folder, and under 'Save as Type' select 'Extended 32 bit 888-8.That should do the trick.Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg
