April 18, 201214 yr Just by the nature of what I experienced I'm guessing this is a FSX bug and not Carenados problem but I'm not 100% certain so figured I'd asked. I just did a vor-vor flight from Concrete Municipal To Bowerman.. Flight went well except my missed approach thanks to the non-typical way the AP works. Doh! Taxied to my parking spot, watched a replay and started shutting her down and that's when I noticed the electrical system was all sorts of broken. Flipped the avionics switch off and only the 400/NAV/COMM panels shut off. The EFIS and Avydyne stayed on. The only way they would turn off is turning off the master switch. Even then the landing gear indicator stayed lit green when it was `technically' in a complete cold and dark state. Anyone else ever experience this? With this plane or another plane? Strikes me something that would happen if FPS got down too low and the FSX core sort of `forgot' what state it was in and screwed up a script somewhere along the lines. April 18, 201214 yr Hi Bill, I more often expirience this behavior to more other payware addons I have, not only Carenado. It happens since I installed Ultimate Traffic II , maybe it is your case too. Allthough I have turned everything off in the Avionics, they will start occasionally when I am parked, EFIS etc get lit, you even hear the gyro spool up and you can listen to the ATC. After some seconds or minutes all is back off again ... spooky! :Hypnotized: I am not sure if it is really UTII related, but it could be in the way UTII injects its traffic into fsx, which is different to others. Best regards,
April 18, 201214 yr Author Thanks for confirming it does happen. Definitely not UT2.. I uninstalled that last week at it was the root cause of my game `hitching' every 30 seconds or so from the chase camera. Good to hear though it's as I expected and nothing to do with Carenado themselves but more of a core issue at hand with FSX.. April 18, 201214 yr I was wondering about that one on a lot of my planes. I couldn't tell if it is Carenado only, but I doubt it is. Me thinks that my FSUIPC battery tweak (set to unlimited) has something to do with that. I've never really tested the influence as the error is so small and sometimes even funny. However, if you run FSUIPC and if you have something tweaked on the battery setting (which makes sense as FSX models a too small battery), maybe try again without it.
April 18, 201214 yr Author I have my battery mod tweak set to one. Yeah it is a small error and harmless really... It's just in my blood to debug problems regardless of how small and insignificant. I can't help myself in that regard..
