Single Engine Startup/Taxi

Featured Replies

Hello All -

First v1.3 is working like a charm (Thanks Bryan!)

My question is more of an operational one. Is it possible to mimic a single engine startup/taxi (as if most airlines are doing to conserve fuel) then start engine 2 close to the runway apron. I was trying to think of the checklist and flow logic, but wasn't sure it would end up working in my favor.

Nothing big, just wondering if anyone has done it!

Thanks!

Hi Rob,

Single Engine taxi's are not modeled in FS2Crew... reason being is that single engine taxiing in FSX doesn't work well from my experience... I think MS got the coefficient of friction wrong or something.

Cheers,

That was my other thought. I noticed the thrust was very weak and I had to FULL throttle to move. Thanks!
