April 20, 201214 yr Really! Sorry rookie painter here but what about layers and stuff not really sure what to do. Bill Womack put together the definitive tutorial on Carenado repaints. I messed with it some but realized quickly i have neither the skill or the patience for repaints. http://forum.avsim.n...nting-tutorial/ Skyscraper
April 20, 201214 yr I'm not really a painter, either. I know you can add your own layers and keep the rivets and other details from the base white layer by using a bit of transparency. Bill Womack did a great video on that trick a while ago, so you might look for that. Bill Womack put together the definitive tutorial on Carenado repaints. http://forum.avsim.n...nting-tutorial/ Ha! April 20, 201214 yr This is what I do using CS5 Open the bmp file in Photoshop. Duplicate the the layer. Name the duplicated layer anything that you want. On the duplicated layer set it to Multiply. Save it as a psd file. At that point do all of your painting and text, etc below the Multiply layer. Turn off the bottom layer. Everything will work Remember layers are your friend and save often. The aforementioned is exactly how I create a Carenado paint kit. Russ
