Have you checked to see if the auto save is enabled in FSUIPC?

 

Do you by chance fly for a Virtual Airline that uses VAFinancials (VAFS) as an ACARS client?

My only suggestion at this point would be to study the introduction and fly the tutorial. The introduction has many great tips for optimizing your computer setup for the NGX. Then, I would fly the tutorial, paying meticulous attention to step by step detail. If you have the same problem during the tutorial, make note of the step you were performing, and any app crash data that may be available.

 

FSX (and the NGX) is very reliant on computer clock speed. 2.66 GHz is kinda slow. Do you have a turbo boost function or have you considered overclocking?

Guys, if you are using VAFS and are seeing a freeze every 15 minutes, then disable its autosave function.

 

If you are not using VAFS and are seeing freezes at a certain interval, check FSUIPC and ensure that it's autosave is not turned on.

I am considering to overclock my pc, it only remains to decide which cooler to buy and I think I have it decided. What you mention I was also thinking I, as well as use the Active Sky NGX 2012 and Aivlasoft EFB on the same computer .... could be that you ask it too processor.
