which aircraft comes most close to the Islander bn-2?

thanks, I have the bn-2 islander but have tech problems with it.

so i was looking for a replacement which comes close to it.

it is for fsx only

i need for bushflying short runways and nice low engine sound

not such a light aircraft

You could consider the Aerosoft Twin Otter, although be aware that the current one is due to be replaced by a much nicer updated one, since it is looking a bit old these days, although personally I still think it is fairly usable, and it is only about 20 quid nowadays. Still a very good add-on aircraft for FSX.

I agree with Al, the Twin Otter is a very good plane.

Although single engine only, there is also Lionhearts Quest Kodiak for warm weather STOL. An extremely powerful plane even with only the one engine.

 

It has basic G1000 though so consider that if you like glass cockpit or not.
