April 24, 201214 yr As my competence improves I am considering taking the next step and trying out Vatsim. Does Vatsim cater for "slow and low" sightseeing GA pilots like me in my little C172? I'm also training for my PPL in the real world and my real reason for wanting to join Vatsim is to practice my ATC comms and approaches to airfields under VFR. Anthony O'Brien
April 24, 201214 yr Absolutely yes, and indeed in the UK we have a VA dedicated to flying VFR - the CIX VFR Club which is a pretty good place to start for instruction and encouragement in flying online. ( http://www.cixvfrclub.org.uk/ ). Highly recommended and you will normally find a fairly decent range of ATC coverage, happy to handly low and slow, on Vatsim throughout the week. Gerard Marley
