April 25, 201214 yr I'm thinking of buying a 27" Monitor for my Laptop and was wondering can I use my Laptop screen still? So example would be having FSX full screen on the External Monitor then say Squawk Box & Vataware etc on the other? Also, this may be a stupid question ha, but would I get the same FPS using Full Screen on a 1920x1080 Screen double the size as my laptops? My Graphics Card is Nvidia 630M 2GB (Specs in Sig). Cheers! - Luke Pabari
April 25, 201214 yr Yes, it will work that way, but I don't use sb so I'm unsure if it would still be visible in full screen mode. If its the same resolution as your laptop screen then performance will be the same. It only cares about the number of pixels, size is irrelevant. The exception to this is when you start undocking panels & moving then to the other screen, that will hurt your performance. April 25, 201214 yr Commercial Member One laptop powering two screens now, you're going to get slightly less, but not by much I'd assume. ...and yes, you can keep the peripherals on the second screen just fine. I did that for a while before getting a second computer. Kyle Rodgers

Well I don't use SB via FSX I have it open in another window as I currently don't use FSX in full screen. On my Laptop I don't get a FPS difference between windowed and full screen but my Laptop is only just over 720p so I guess lowering some settings might have to be the option! Still I'm more focused on having good quality on the Aircraft with decent frames!
