A "duh" moment

Featured Replies

Whenever I install a OS the FIRST thing I do is disable desktop icons.. I hate them, always have and always will. It's just useless clutter and always a repeat of the same stuff put into your start menu (or so I thought) which is nicely organized. So I remember once reading about Orbx having an app to turn off lights at night, then I read the Lancair had three different flight models and then today after installing the Concrete update I never got around to downloading I saw a mention of "Airport Control Panel"... Yet... My start menu for Orbx has the same song and dance. FTX Central, Aero etc.. Something isn't adding up here.. All these little things I never actually saw anywhere.. What am I missing?

So.. on whim whim I enabled my desktop icons and about 500 virtual eggs landed on my face.. Oh lookie there, Control Panel apps for airports and the Lancair, and day and night light control.. "Ah Duh"... I'm still kind of wondering why all this stuff wasn't nicely organized in the Orbx folder in my Start Menu but... Wow. I went that long without knowing all these useful apps even existed..
