I recall reading in a hint or some place that fuel could only be added at airports that have fueling capabilities. Is there some way to add fuel without getting out of free flight by hitting Escape? It seems like I can go to the Hangar and add fuel at any time.

Press "F" when on the ground at an airport with "services," indicated on the Map with small boxes at the top, bottom and sides of the airport symbol like at the bottom left:

 

 

Actually, you can remove fuel when landed anywhere by pressing F... you just can only add fuel at a properly equipped airport.

Thanks! Worked great. Considering the number of hours I have in flight it seems strange that I wasn't aware of this. Now I wonder about how many other things are available that I've overlooked.
