April 30, 201214 yr I did a flight in the Leonardo Maddog from ESBK Gothenburg. I experienced this. From the "D panel cview when looking left or right I first see the outside view for a fraction of a second then a blurred image for several seconds. This seem not to be the case in the VC but I don't like the Vc in the Maddog. Anyone recognising this? I also see purple squares for a short while before all textures display. This problem I don't experience in FSX for example. My system AMD Phenom II X4 3.4 GHz 4 GB RAM NVIDIA GTS250 1 Gb Win 7 x64

Your problem would either be there or in your graphics card driver settings or a combination of the two. Are you using the NVidia settings interface, Enhancer or Inspector? And as of course the above post states, if you are loading a lot of objects like custom scenery, photoreal ground, mesh, clouds and Ai aircraft then you are loading a heavy load of textures including your aircraft, gauges and so forth. All of that can add up to a huge bottle neck when it comes to getting the textures processed and displayed. Regards, Mel

Regards, Mel I have FS9 maxed out and that shouldn't be any problem on a system like mine , right? I use NVIDIA inspector and the same settings there suggested for FSX except that I have the fps limiter set to 60. And btw I get fps around 40-50 inside the cockpit. Outside spotview close to 60. In addition to that I have UT Europe and Swedflight scenery for the airport.
May 1, 201214 yr You might want to lower the frame rate limit down to 30fps temporarily, just to test if that might make a difference in your texture loading. If that makes no difference then a least that has been removed as a possible cause. I personally couldn't say so you might check around, but FS9 might not be entirely happy with your FSX Inspector settings - just a thought - anyway. It may also be a matter of FS9 not liking whatever graphics driver version you are using. FS9 has a history of not responding well to some drivers. I'm hoping this will help fix things for you or at least figure out what isn't the cause. Process of elimination. Regards, Mel

I made a flight from EKCH with the Swedflight scenery installed. This was with the PMDG 747-400 and I experienced no such issues like the one I have described with the madddog. Also my fps was somewhat better compared to the maddog.
