May 2, 201214 yr This is probably the only thing I don't know how to do in the FMC. Just got done watching one of my Air Canada DVD's and I always hear the term ''Extend the Centerline" I know what it means and does etc but just don't know how to set it up in the FMC. Anyone care to explain please? Cheers! - Luke Pabari
May 2, 201214 yr Luke, In the LEGS page type in Airport code/runway heading/extension distance and paste to the top of the LEGS page eg - if I am on Runway 34 at Sydney I would type in; YSSY335/6 (335 being the runway heading for 34L and 6 being the extension in NM I am looking for. Paste this from the scratchpad to the top of the legs page and remove any discontinuiites below. As you Exec that command on the FMC you will see the magenta line head out along the runway heading to 6 NM before a turn is made. Gerry

May 2, 201214 yr Commercial Member You can make an indefinite length one too by just going direct to the runway and entering an INTC CRS at LSK 6R that's the runway heading. This was shown in Tutorial #2. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
May 2, 201214 yr Or if you are doing a visual approach, you can type in how far out you want the centerline to extend after you select the runway on your DEP/ARR page.
