May 4, 201214 yr Does any one know how to program a Procedure Turn in the FMC route? For example, in a flight from KLAS (25L) to KRNO (16R), coming in from the south through the TARVR1 approach, the ILS RWY 16R IAP includes a required Procedure Turn. The FMC approach allows the selection of the runway (ILS 16R) and the TARVR1 approach, but there is a discontinuity between the end of the TARVR1 approach and the start of the ILS approach. May 5, 201214 yr Procedures that require a PT will have it in the data base, otherwise you can not manually insert a PT. If the data base does not provide a PT, extend the final appraoch course and use HDG mode to fly the PT. John Floyd
May 5, 201214 yr Author Thanks John, that answers my question. I flew it as you indicated with no problems. May 5, 201214 yr Author Ryan, thanks for the info. Do you know if they are modelled in the real B737 FMC? If so, any chance of their being modelled in the PMDG in a future SP? May 5, 201214 yr Commercial Member Yes, they're in the real one. Unlikely that we'll do them though, they aren't in the navdata. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
May 5, 201214 yr I include procedure turns or hold patterns where charted on approach plates on the sidstars I create. I only have a few locations right now, but I am slowly adding. To find my sidstar files, go to avsim library and search for author = Dan Downs and then sort by date. Do you have a particular US location you'd like to have a procedure turn established for? Dan Downs KCRP
May 16, 201214 yr Author Dan, I was looking for KRNO (Reno) 16R and KATL 27R. I tried looking in the AVSIM library, but when I click on the File Library button, nothing happens; I am signed in. I must be doing something wrong, but what?
