Good eye! Yes, there were some functions that we disabled yesterday when we were doing some system tune-ups. That was one that we forgot to re-enable. It is now back and functioning.

I've never really understood the significance of this date. Many of us that have been here from nearly Day 1 have changed our public names. Computer crashes, boredom and any number of other causes contributed to this. I guess it could be used as a "credibility" tag for real newbies. I even remember the days when Avsim resisted allowing advertising. That was a very noble concept, but financial realities ended it. Actually, I'm glad there is advertising....I don't have to look all over Creation to find products. I 've watched Avsim mature into this great website over the years. A job well done.

it's also available from your own profile or anyone's profile page if you'd like to look there too.

for example:

http://forum.avsim.net/user/161228-jbinner/

and look right under my name. :) You can also hover the mouse over any user's name on the postings themselves....try moving your mouse over my name and wait a few seconds. You'll get a popup box (fade-in) that shows all kinds of info, including last seen time and date

my bad, I got this confused with another thread, but good info anyway. :Loser: (loser symbol to myself. lol)
