Missing Airport

Here is the Airnav data, including VOR references...

Have you actually gone out to look for it in Flight? It could be there on the terrain but simply unmarked on the Map, but I expect it's more likely to just be an autogen scenery area.

Yes checked, there is nothing except trees and a dirt field.

I´ll post that in the official forum to ask them ;)

activation date == when the airport/airfield opened.

Oh, duh! I didn't even notice that!

Yeah, it's not in Flight because it didn't exist when MS collected their airport data for Flight.

I think this simply has to do with Flight using old data, maybe simply the same as for FSX. The old Kona VOR seems to prove that too. We are simply flying above historic Hawaii...

EDIT

RoboRay beat me to it.

Speaking of that, I also just noticed that the "Old Kona" VOR is now missing from the new Hawaii Sectional that came out on 3 May, and so is no longer included on the SkyVector or AirNav digital charts. Black%20Eye.gif

I'm actively making inquiries seeking archives of expired digital charts which would be better for Flight than the current stuff. No luck so far, other than being directed to the paper copies in the National Archives a couple of times. I don't think they'd let me in the door with a big enough scanner.

There's some older scans in the AVSIM library that are useable, but a few of them I looked at were not high quality.
