Well, we haven't had a poll in a while, so let's try this one. It seems that ATI is mentioned a lot, so I was wondering which one simmers are currently using.

I like polls, hehe.I use NVIDIA, but if I had to get a new card I would undoubtedly go for ATI. I got my Ti4600 when the Ti4600 was the best there was...which was obviously back in the day.

I updated the poll to add that...

>I updated the poll to add that...Too late for me. Just count my vote in the NVidia but rather ATI column.

"ATI Radeon 9800 Pro here..."Ditto. Changed over from nVidia a year ago and haven't looked back.Greg

Asus Radeon 9800XT here.

Though it would seem as though ATI holds an edge in the graphics area, I stick with Nvidia for 1 simple reason: ATI abandoned us win98 users after the 9200 series. (At least all their packaging requires Win 2000 or greater)Nvidia supports all OS's so I stick with them.

NVIDIA GeForce FX 5950 Ultra but my next card will be an ATI, hopefully...Bruno Francescoli Student Pilot-KOPF-PA28-161

Been running ATI the last 1.5 years or so. The Radeon 9700 Pro has proven to be one of the best videocards I ever bought and still provides acceptable performance and excellent image quality. Previously I owned a Geforce3 Ti500 which only "lasted" 4-5 months before it started feeling underpowered, and the quality of the anti-aliasing was not very good.

>Why do you have to run Win98? It's a dinosaur...LOL, it is a dinasaur but it's been a real stable OS for me so I never bothered to upgrade. Win 2000 was never known as a good gaming platform (more business oriented)& with todays viruses aimed at XP, 98SE suits me just fine.Support is dwindling for 98 so I'm sure an upgrade is in the not too distant future.

I use Nvidia but have read lots of positive things about ATI 9800 cards. Will upgrade soon and am waiting for the Nividia GF 6800 to hit the market and read any feedback regarding it.For now I still like NVIDIA..Regards..TH

Mine is (still) a 4200 and I enjoy it immensely. Having said that I am currently waiting for 9800XT All In Wonder prices to drop to 200 Euro because I am slowly gearing my system to home cinema and Nvidia is not good enough for that.Regards,
