May 21, 201214 yr Author Word Not Allowed, Once again many thanks for your reply. I have followed your advice and have edited my 'text info 1' in my cfg in exactly the same format as you have done and deleted 'text info 2 and 3. I then went into FSX but still no Average Frame Rate displays. However,I did not get rid of the 'Slew Text Info's'-should I have done this too? I should welcome your further assistance. Michael Broom
May 21, 201214 yr Here is what I use which gives me everything I want: [TextInfo.1] Latitude=1,1 Longitude=1,2 Altitude=1,3 Heading=1,4 AirSpeed=1,5 WindDirectionAndSpeed=1,6 [TextInfo.2] FrameRate=1,1 LockedFrameRate=1,2 GForce=1,3 FuelPercentage=1,4 TextInfo.3] Latitude=1,1 Longitude=1,2 Altitude=1,3 Heading=1,4 AirSpeed=1,5 WindDirectionAndSpeed=1,6 FrameRate=2,1 LockedFrameRate=2,2 GForce=2,3 FuelPercentage=2,4 AverageFrameRate=2,5 You could try it by backing up your present cfg file, replace your TextInfo 1, 2 and 3 with this one and do a trial run. Hope it helps you. Satisfaction Quaranteed. If not tickled pink, refuse advice and get double your problems back. :Nerd: Kind regards,
May 21, 201214 yr Author Stephen, Many thanks for your reply. I have tried your suggestion but still I cannot get Average Frame Rate in FSX-this is becoming real mystery. Any other help I would appreciate. Michael Broom
May 21, 201214 yr The reason for only one textinfo is that I press once shift+z for the line to appear and again shift+z for it to disappear. If you have 2,3 or whatever, you cycle through them with shift+z. Annoying for me. Or you 100% sure there is no other TextInfo line in FSX.cfg for you, than the one of mine? [TextInfo.1] Latitude=1,1 Longitude=1,2 Altitude=1,3 Heading=1,4 AirSpeed=1,5 WindDirectionAndSpeed=1,6 FrameRate=2,1 LockedFrameRate=2,2 AverageFrameRate=2,3 FuelPercentage=2,4 Make also sure the Average FrameRate is shown like 2,1...2,3...2,4...2,4...etc.
May 22, 201214 yr Author Word Not Allowed, Many thanks for your reply again. Within my fsx cfg I have exactly the same Text Info 1 information, word for word etc. I do not now have text info 2 and 3 just as you suggested. However still no Average Frame Rate shows. Is there any adjustment to the settings within FSX that I need to make. The whole thing is a complete mystery and very frustrating. I have followed your instructions to the letter but no success. I would welcome any further comments. Michael Broom
May 22, 201214 yr You did press shift+z to make the data appear in fsx? It won't appear by itself. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
May 22, 201214 yr Sounds like your FSX cfg file has now been dramatically altered. If you still can't get the info to show up, backup your present cfg file (so that you can re-apply any tweaks to a new one). Then, delete the original file and boot FSX and let it build a new one. You can apply your tweaks later. Download Flusifix - 2006 V5.0. This is a useful tool to make quick changes/tweaks to your cfg files. After opening up Flusifix, go to FSX cfg tab and click on FPS display. Then let it make the necessary changes to your new cfg file. You can always go back to the default setting if you need to. I only suggest this, since you aren't able to edit your cfg file and/or see your new info. Chris David PS: You can find it http://www.wolfgang-picheta.de/
May 23, 201214 yr I should like to thank you all for your replies. I have created a new cfg and again after amending the text info 1 again I cannot get Average Frame Rates within FSX and yes I have been clicking shift+ Z several times. I feel that this is something that I cannot resolve and I think I will now carry on flying!! Many thanks for all your help and replies.
