May 22, 201214 yr Listening to LiveATC.net while I was flying. Didn't hear the type, but they declared a fuel emergency and were trying to make Burbank when Burbank lost radar contact. Someone else eventually said they had been spotted down and emergency services are now enroute. Anyone in the area that can give more details? Edit, here's the story if anyone is interested. http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2012/05/21/small-plane-en-route-to-burbank-airport-crashes-in-glendale/ Chris Hicks
May 22, 201214 yr A fuel emergency but he had nearly 55 gallons when he crashed? I guess we will have to wait till more information becomes available. Chris Miller
May 22, 201214 yr Yes, I just heard on the radio news in the Southern Cal area. The plane crashed and ended upside down. It had got stuck in power lines on the way down on or close to a highway. I didn't catch any word on casualties or wounded yet.
May 22, 201214 yr They said the pilot was treated at the scene and he was the only one in the aircraft. Chris Miller
