Cascade Locks-- Orbx PNW

Featured Replies

I do a lot of dead reckoning flying when in my A2A Cub. True dead reckoning, sectional chart, scale of miles, wind drift calclulations, the whole bit. These from a recent flight to Cascade Locks OR:

Hi!

Great shots sir! I should really try to be a bit more realistic in the way I fly VFR too. I have a real life VFR navigation book in my room which needs some reading!

Many thanks,

Nice shots, I also use a sectional chart when flying low and slow.

I have posted comments about DR flight elsewhere. It's really interesting how many actually do participate in that most worthwhile pursuit. Makes other flights almost boring in many ways. But there is still that pesky landing thing to conquer ( I still sometimes land on the ground, not necessarily on the runway Just%20Kidding.gif ).

A lot of my screeinie are not "pretty" as such. I tend to try more and more to take shots from the pilots seat instead of the usual "here's my airplane at..."

Hey the ground is a good place to land, be it on the runway or not, as long as it's right side up,nice shots.
