Dreamwings 170 V3

Featured Replies

Got a bunch of excellent repaints out here in the library, but no V3 base-pack? Anyone know what happened to last week's supposed debut?Scott

It wasn't a "supposed debut?"... There were some errors in the files released, so Dreamwings pulled the basepack from the library here and uploaded a new one the same day. For whatever reason, the corrected basepack still hasn't appeared here. However, you can get it at this link:http://www.dreamwingsdesign.com/files/Emb1...erj170_base.zip-John

Thanks a million John!Scott

Umm, I new something was wrong with my turbofan animations - that is still the v2 model that the above link sends you to.Scott

That IS the version 3 model I linked you to--however, some of the repainters didn't use the proper bitmaps for the turbofans... I don't know the status on the repaints getting updated, but there was mention of this in the Dreamwings forums...-John

John,Is that a change I can handle myself?Scott

John,Just downloaded the above file - in the readme file, it says"Embraer 170 (v2) ***Dreamwings proudly presents the Embraer 170 (v2). This aircraft model includes following:"I also checked the aircraft.cfg file, and it appears to still be v2. My guess is that they may have switched it back since you downloaded your copy.Dale

The link doesn't work .... great! :-lol

It was like that when I downloaded it, however it is definitely a new model. New shape, doors, airstairs etc. No virtual cabin though, which is a bit of a shame.

Check the date of the mdl file in the download... If it is any time since March, then it is version 3 (and the documentation is wrong)... If it's from any time earlier than March, then it's version 2. I guess it is possible they could have switched it back if that's the case.

The mdl file is 5/2/2004 - I downloaded it yesterday after he gave the link above. I'm still trying to find where the fan .bmp's are...Scott

Those who created those add-on liveries are supposed to add them and rerelease their liveries--that's about all I know. I don't know why the link is down to the base kit though. Also, Dreamwings has a support forum on their site. It's probably best to post any follow-up questions there so you can get assistance directly from the developers. I only played a small role in helping them with the FDE... Otherwise I wasn't involved in any details of the release.-John

You can find 'em in the file library...-John

JohnI've found a few repaints, but for the life of me can't find a base package anywhere. If anyone'd be nice enough to point me in the right direction (no luck on the Dreamwings web-site) I'd be grateful. Thank you.Gavin

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

It's right here in the library--it appeared again yesterday:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...04ac&DLID=48142Edit--just a word of warning that there's a typo in the readme.txt that describes the aircraft as v2... It is indeed version 3....
