J41 Crashing FSX when selecting Aircraft.

Featured Replies

I have a purchased version of the J41 and I am trying to run it on FSX installed on Windows 7 64 Bit.

When I go in to "Select Aircraft" and then click on OK....FSX hesitates for about 10 seconds then has a Fatal Error and Restarts.

I have tried uninstalling the J41 and reinstalling.........same thing.

Has anyone run into this issue or have any ideas to try.

Thanks for any help.

Randy

Ryan is a support guy from PMDG - outstanding technical level and always helpful. You can find him here: http://forum.avsim.net/user/101009-tabs/

or better open a ticket at PMDG support page.

Sorry for being not precise enough.

Hi Randy,

Hey Ikarus....I'll tell you what I ended up doing.

I saved a copy of fsx.cfg and then deleted the original so FSX would rebuild it when I started FSX....after that it worked fine.

Randy

oh, thanks a lot, Randy, for this interesting hint. Actually, I am used to produce fresh fsx.cfgs ....it really helps a lot, if the FSX goes crazy. I shall do it according your hint and will inform you about the outcome. I used to do the cfg.restoration with Flusifix.fsx, because, if the renewal does not show any change, I can restore the former cfg (which of course I have modified for better performance).

Best regards from Switzerland
