Finally, Mach 3.8!

http://www.go-l.com/desktops/machl38/processor/Doesn't get much better than this. Just Imagine running your entire OS and programs such as FS9 off of nonvolatile Ram. Not to mention, 3.8ghz, 950mHZ FSB, 533mhz Ram. One word... BALZING!Ok, back to work.

Did you read the fine print? There's a little asterisk by the cpu and fsb speeds... Basically, they are taking a P4 3.2 and overclocking it to 3.8MHZ, and taking an 800MHZ FSB and bumping it up to 950... Things anyone willing to play with overclocking can do, for a lot less. The nonvolatile Ram is intriguing, but the 3.8 isn't new technology--just boosted technology...-John

Reading the fine print was not necessary, even though I did, for I am well aware that pentium does not currently produce a 3.8ghz processor, they're only up to 3.4. My point was that a system like that, professionally tweaked, incorporating the latest technology (including things even Alienware or Voodoo don't offer) and cooled by a custom air conditioning unit would be quite hard to beat. Yes it's bloody expensive, but show me something better. If I had the money to waste, I'd be in the market for one of those. Seriously, am I crazy or is that system the shiznit? I would pay $500 just to rent that thing for a weekend and load up FS9, just to see for myself how well it would run. Select the 3.8l and customize it, the options are amazing! Plus it just looks so cool. =)http://www.go-l.com/desktops/machl38/specs/index.htm

I am curious though--since they are selling it overclocked, how does that influence Intel's warranty on the cpu? I didn't read into it enough to find out..... I am still intrigued by the NV RAM--accessing scenery, textures, etc on the HD causes much of what's pereived as "Stutters".... Imagine that all being loaded from RAM.... :)

OC'ing has no adverse effect on the CPU at all if done correctly.;)

That wasn't what I asked--I am curious about the warranty since Intel requires that the cpu be run at spec in order to maintain the warranty...

I'd buy one.JimCYWG

KA-CHING!!!! Wow!Greg

Lotta typos on that website. Liberal use of stock photos, too, apple-esque layout, hyped language...hmmm...not too sure about this one.

This company has generated a fair bit of controversy, do a google search for ( Liebermann L computers ) and it will be interesting to see how well they do.Kurt M

This company has been in question for a little while in the Maximum PC magazine. In the latest issue, they were asking for ANYONE who has ordered or tried to order from this company. I am waiting to find out who has went out on a long thin limb with their money. Not mine, thats for sure.Craig
