June 18, 201213 yr In the FSX aircraft manager, the specifications for the 737-800, 737-900, with and without winglets, are identical. Same length, same range, same MTOW, same Gross Weight, same everything. This is an error, right? Will it be fixed?

June 18, 201213 yr Actually, they do both have the same mtow as the -900 is just a simple stretch. It does have a higher empty weight though. Boeing soon scratched the -900 for the 900ER version. The baseline one didn't have enough emergency exit doors to go above 189 ( I think) passengers. So the ER was developed with extra doors ( for 210 pax I believe), and along with it, increased MTOW and options for auxiliary fuel tanks. The base model can still seat more pax than an -800 in a two class config, but with shorter range on a full payload cause of higher empty/mzfw. The ER works better if you need a high density layout, or need the longer range that the higher mtow gives you. Can't wait for the ER extension pack ~William Genovese~

June 19, 201213 yr Commercial Member That's just a typographical mistake in the aircraft.cfg for the 900 - I'll see if I can get the correct text and you can just paste it into the description field. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
