ATC

Featured Replies

Greetings, can anyone recommend a 3rd party ATC replacement for FSX that works well with the NGX?

Thanks!

There is a new offering, http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CFsQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pointsoftware.de%2Fproatcx_d%2Findex.html&ei=TZPiT66YO-bg2wWe-Ii6Cw&usg=AFQjCNG-xVNPthY9u8ntmktYNjMPHFdbFA&sig2=S5xuE3ZoHSw-EJMYPGCxnw

Very new, there seems to be a lot of interest in the product. I have not tried it yet as I feel the price is a bit steep. I am waiting for some good reviews and a bit more refining of the product.

The Developer is quite active on the Avsim news comments page. Check it out and see what you think.

PMDG j41, 747-400x, 747-8i/f, NGX.......Finally!!!!

I'm using http://www.voxatc.com/

What I like is that you can talk to the controllers with your microphone, it also assigns you a SID and STAR when able.

It's not perfect, but of the ATC addons I have tried, I had the most fun with this.

Hardware:

Asus Sabertooth p67 | Intel I7-2600k | 8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM | EVGA GeForce GTX 560Ti 2GB | 2 x 2TB Seagate HDD

Saitek, yoke, pedals, throttles | TrackIr 5 | 2x Samsung 23" SyncMaster XL2370 | Win 7 x64

Addons:

PMDG JS4100 | PMDG NGX 900/800/700/600 | (AS2012, VoxATC, FXAA, GSX, etc..)

I like Proflight Emulator Deluxe. You can set the SIDS and STARS for each runway and will let you fly them without interuption. It has different accented voices for different areas so fly in the UK and get British accents, fly in Spain and get Spanish accents etc. The voices sound more realistic then VOXatc and Radar Contact. It runs from gate to gate unlike Radar Contact that finish at the end of the runway and also has option to get the co-pilot to direct your taxi path to and from the runway, great at large airports that you have never been before.

Definitely VoxATC. It's for the time being the most realistic ATC. It knows of SID/STAR and HOLD. And you talk to the ATC via a microphone. The price is I think about €45.

Kind regards

Peter
