June 23, 201213 yr I want to re-install the program so do I have to contact Lockheed just for a re-install?? Yes you have. I had to reinstall and got the message that I had used all my installations. Jack Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain
June 25, 201213 yr I believe that you only need to contact them if you are re-installing on new or substantially different hardware, or an OS install. Your activation info is held in the registry and will be re-used in a simple re-install on same OS. A bit like FSS/ORBX wrappers... You can also just choose the repair option when running the flat installer and it will repair/overwrite your current install. from their website: Licenses are node-locked to a particular system, so if you move the software to a new PC, or have a massive hardware failure and need to replace the hard-drive, you will need to get the license re-activated. June 26, 201213 yr I recently uninstalled P3D and re-installed it on a new SSD drive in my same PC, but the installer did not ask for a license code. It was a quick and painless install ;-).
June 26, 201213 yr From an email sent to me yesterday (I need to to a repair on mine) "Hi Jake, The software does recognize that the installs are being done on the same computer, but if enough of the computer’s information changes (OS, external hardware, RAM, etc.); it will flag it as a potentially different computer. So you may require to re-activate after installation. If you do need an additional activation please e-mail us here adn we will get you squared away. Sorry for any inconvenience." I think it's a little like Windows..If you change your CPU/mobo it will de-activate, thinking its on dif. hardware JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte
