June 30, 201213 yr it just running UT2 and it crash my computer got 6 error Is your computer just crashing with UT2? Does it stop crashing if you uninstall UT2. UT2 uses simconnect and you may not have the right version installed. Just checking to be sure you installed SP1 as it had some fixes to simconnect and SP2. To be sure, you can download and run SP1.exe and select "repair" when options are offered. Once completed, find SP2.exe and doubleclick on it and select 'repair' when options are offered. See if that fixes your problem. If not, uninstall UT2. If that stops the crashes, then there's something wrong with UT2. You reported errors are indicating a system issue and not FSX but a bad FSX program could be triggering device crashes. Best regards, Jim

June 30, 201213 yr I have SP1 in can't say if I have SP2,where do I find the .exe file You can get both SP1 and SP2 here - http://www.microsoft.com/Products/Games/FSInsider/downloads/Pages/default.aspx. SP2 you really don't have to install BUT many recent addons require SP2 or Acceleration to work properly. I wouldn't worry about Microsoft.net 3.5 but if you want to reinstall it, I provided the link above in a previous post. Just download and install. You can find out for sure whether it's installed or not by looking in C:\Windows\Microsoft.net\Framework\(then the various versions). At least you pinpointed the problem - UT2. Now to figure out why it doesn't install correctly or is giving you crashes. Maybe it needs dotnet 3.5 to install correctly.... In any case, glad to see you're making progress and almost there! Best regards, Jim
July 1, 201213 yr Author Jim it is getting to my FSX folder fine,it when I run the program when it freeze everything up..Right now I at stopping place I think for a while The guy in UT2 forum kind of quit, Microsoft/Framework : V.103705,V1.14322,V2.050727,V3.0,V3.5,V4.030319 In the Framework k64: V2.050727 ,V3.0 ,V3.5 ,V4.030319 thanks Aleinware Area-51 Windows 10 Pro Intel i7 CPU [email protected] 12 GB RAM GeForce 770 Graphic Card
July 1, 201213 yr Great! You did good on the installation of the dotnet versions. I have those 64 versions of dotnet too and I guess Microsoft just installs both versions. The Microsoft Visuals are the programs you really need as developers use them for proper installation of their programs. Microsoft says many developers do not always follow the rules and install the proper version of Microsoft Visuals and this might be a reason why some addons don't run properly. Hope you can get UT2 to work! Best regards, Jim
July 2, 201213 yr Author Jim this whole thing start way back when I got Traffic X put it in I really did like it. Had some problems with FSX had to take it out along with Traffic X. try to put it back in samething happen, froze up my computer.Talk with my flight some, then the quit talking with me.So got UT2 and it the same???I guess I will keep flying without any AI progams, but what really make a guy mad is $66.50 in software that will not work in a #2400.00 machine...Thanks a lot for your help....Scott Aleinware Area-51 Windows 10 Pro Intel i7 CPU [email protected] 12 GB RAM GeForce 770 Graphic Card
July 3, 201213 yr Had some problems with FSX had to take it out along with Traffic X. try to put it back in samething happen, froze up my computer. Both AI programs use simconnect.dll to communicate. The lastest version of simconnect.dll was updated with SP2 or Acceleration. It's important that SP1 and SP2 be installed in that order after installation of FSX Deluxe. The fact that My Traffic X worked orginally indicates to me you did not get FSX Deluxe, SP1 and SP2 installed. I still have the SP1 and Acceleration versions on my system. You should have the SP1 and SP2 versions on your system if installed properly. I bought both too but only use My Traffic X now. You can return UT2 if you bought it within 30 days as Flight One has a 30 day guarantee. You can get back your default traffic by removing .passive at the end of trafficAircraft.bgl in the main FSX folder under Scenery/World/Scenery. Sorry to hear you're have so many problems with these programs! Best regards, Jim

July 6, 201213 yr Hi, Jim I do have acceleration in also it says I have SP1 in also. But your right I don't have simconnect.dll in?Think maybe take out SP1 put it back in?? No it's a download but thanks anyway...Scott Acceleration is SP2 but Acceleration has the code to run the aircraft and stuff that came with Acceleration. SP2 is an FSX update that was coded to make sure it would not work with Acceleration as SP2 is free. So, if SP1 is installed and Acceleration, you should be okay. SP1 comes with Acceleration so just installing FSX Deluxe and Acceleration is sufficient. If you try to go back and reinstall SP1, you'll have to reinstall Acceleration. The latest simconnect.dll comes with Acceleration so, if Acceleration is installed you have the right version. The version is the same as FSX Acceleration - 10.0.61259.0 (FSX-Xpack.20070926) and it should be located in the following directory - C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61259.0_none_55f5ecdc14f60568. If that is what you have, then it's probably not a simconnect.dll issue as I previously thought. I read where it can be a bad video driver or other hardware driver too. Some people have fixed this problem by uninstalling their video card drivers and going back to an earlier version of the drivers. Here's more info on the infamous msvcr80.dll and some possible solutions recommended the by the experts: http://www.instant-registry-fixes.org/why-do-i-keep-receiving-msvcr80dll-missing-errors/. After you reinstalled Acceleration, did you install SP1 to the MS Visual C++ 2005 Redistributables? It is indicated you did have it installed when you started this post a long time ago but you have uninstalled, reinstalled FSX/Acceleration and maybe it's gone now. It should show up in your Add/Remove Programs as version 8.0.58299 in the MS Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. If this doesn't fix your problem, then I think you'll need to completely reinstall Windows 7 and FSX/Acceleration as your system may have become corrupted. I would completely uninstall FSX and make sure everything has been deleted from the directories as FSX leaves a lot of files behind. You'll need a registry cleaner too as it does not completely clean the registry. Once completed, then reinstall FSX, start it up and fly with it. You can also try to install your traffic AI program and see it if works with just FSX Deluxe installed. If not, then you'll have to uninstall and uninstall FSX again and then go to the nasty route of completely reinstalling the OS. Wish I could pinpoint your issue!! Best regards, Jim
July 9, 201213 yr Author Jim I got it . Had to take out windows 7 and re place it.But I got Traffic X to go in and run.I really do apppreciate all your time you help me with>>>Scott Aleinware Area-51 Windows 10 Pro Intel i7 CPU [email protected] 12 GB RAM GeForce 770 Graphic Card
July 9, 201213 yr That's super! So you reinstalled Windows 7? I have a feeling your system registry got corrupted somehow if so but we will never know for sure. Thanks for reporting back with information on how you fixed this problem. I don't think too many people will be too happy about reinstalling Windows though! Best regards, Jim
