Altering livery in tutorial modules

Featured Replies

I would like to be able to change the aircraft livery when going into one of the pre-programmed tutorial modules which are available in the save flights menu. At the moment it just uses the default livery. I know how to download and install new liveries but not sure how to incorporate a new livery in the saved lights. I presume it is a matter of altering a file somewhere ?

Good question i just tried some thing and it worked what i did is I loaded the tutorial 2 just before pushback clicked fly now and waited till it loaded okay. Than i clicked the changed aircraft option in the menu tab and than selected one of my other liverlies and it loaded as it was before. So it seems to work as i just wanted to see what would happen if i would to changed the aircraft during the tutorial

When you do change the livery for the tutorial, make sure you re-select the appropriate airline options in the FMC, otherwise, some of the things mentioned in the tutorial may not be there. Specifically, if you're trying the autoland from Tutorial 1 and you don't have the right equipment, you're not going to get the same indications as the tutorial states.

In the end, it's just a tutorial, so I'm not sure why the livery matters, but hey...

When i first did the tutorial i just selected one of my liveries and just started from the gate and followed the tutorial from there, i just wanted to see what would happened if i changed aircaft after loading the saved tutorial flight.
