May 22, 200422 yr Does the III have the new panel & overhead switches? If not, Dreamfleet & Carenado have nice Archer II's.
May 23, 200422 yr Author Yes...the III has the overhead, 2 GNS 430 GPS's (at least the one that I flew), and updated interior. It is more advanced and it is really fun to fly! Image Coming... KregE | B757/767 FO
May 23, 200422 yr panel layout on all aircraft (and especially GA ones) is completely up to the owner.I doubt there are many (except those that are delivered with stock instruments to flying schools and rental agencies and never yet upgraded) that are identical to each other or have stock instruments. While Piper shows a panel with twin 430s on their website, I doubt it is standard kit as such a configuration adds a LOT to the purchase price of the aircraft and is far more than most users will need.Edit, this is the equipment list Piper mentions for the Archer III (2004 model) on their website: STANDARD GARMIN/S-TEC AVIONICS PACKAGE COMM/NAV/GS/GPS Multifunction Display GNS 430VOR/LOC/GS/GPS Indicator GI-106ATransponder with Traffic Information Sytem GTX-330Audio Panel with Marker GMA 340The extra 430 and associated equipment will cost you an additional (don't flinch) $34950,-- to purchase.http://www.newpiper.com/fleet/archerIII/compare_it/index.asp

May 23, 200422 yr I suggest you get one of the ones mentioned above and add the extra GPS units yourself (with something like FS Panel Studio and the GPS units from RealityXP or Geith Givens)Cheaper than adding the real things.Alastair
May 23, 200422 yr Author I just want to know if there is a "Piper Archer III" available for FS. GPS and that really mean nothing to me!?!?! Image Coming... KregE | B757/767 FO
May 23, 200422 yr There is no freeware or payware Archer III that I know of. The DF Archer II is my favorite plane to fly. The only difference in the Archer II and III is the interior and avionics, and about $150,000 price difference if you were buying a real one.
