July 3, 201213 yr Has anyone done any view config edits to prevent seeing inside the airplane when going through the views? When I alternate through the views to look at the engines etc, some views enter the cabin a bit and those passengers are the only thing I dont like and the worst thing to ruin the beautiful plane. They look like when I first purchased the plane they got too close to the engines that I burnt out... And they melted a bit. They should learn not to go near the engines when it's a simmer flyin :) So just wondering what do I have to put in the config to prevent seeing them, I don't have ezdok but I'm happy to edit the configs to keep these ugly guys hidden..
July 3, 201213 yr Good question Dan. I've been wondering this for some time now. I have a switch on the throttle of my warty and want to use it simply to switch from the VC to external view, but it scolls through the wing view as well. I'd like to be able to use the switch simply to go from VC to external view with nothing else, as I use the keyboard for that purpose for other views. So I hope someone helps you out... July 3, 201213 yr Author Just take out the views in the aircraft.cfg. Not hard at all. You're right, they have pretty good labelling in there. I removed view 16 and 17 which were the worst (the cabin views). In view 14-19 the wing/engine views I do still see the passengers if I don't keep my head still. But if it doesn't cycle through the cabin views I can live with that. Do you know is there any ofthose settings in the views I can set to limit the head movement? If I could set it to only be able to look 90 degrees instead of 360, then I would only see the outside.. Either way the situation is much improved :) Good question Dan. Hi Howard I think you can use the "View (next)" command and assign a warthog button to that? The one that is default as "S". The first view it goes to is an external. I use a hatswitch on the throttle, forward and back for view next / previous. Then side to side to cycle the views in that category. If you delete those ugly views 16 and 17, it works well. I found for some reason my view "Tail" the last view was down as 20, and didn't show up as it was a duplicate. So I've changed it to 21.
