July 3, 201213 yr Hi All, I was wondering if I can purchase Alaska from Steam if the rest of my Flight installation came from the Windows Live site. The Steam page says something about "requiring the base game on Steam to play". I ask because my other Steam games are launched from the Steam Interface; but my version of Flight does not. Thanks.
July 3, 201213 yr You do have to install the Steam version of Flight to make Steam DLC purchases, or you will not be able to view the access codes you must enter into Flight to start the downloads from GFWL.
July 3, 201213 yr Author Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Guess I'll have to go buy some more Xbox Points on Amazon since Windows Live doesn't seem to like my credit card.
July 3, 201213 yr I had that problem with GFWL when I wanted to use my card. That`s why I ended up getting the Steam version. It was the only way I could get the Hawaii expansion pack. Steam were doing a special offer at the time so it was worth it I guess. I`d have preferred to have stayed with GFWL though.
July 4, 201213 yr I purchased Hawaii from Steam than redeemed the codes on Xbox, purchased Alaska from Xbox. I haven't played Flyte on Steam since I purchased it.
