July 5, 201213 yr Hi Guys, I'm really enjoying flying lately having spent alot of time in Airbus books finally achieving how to kiss the ground :P as well overall perfecting my fps and general texture display, weather etc.. and it is perfect in sunset/sunrise/daylight hours. My absolute only issue at the moment with FS9 is night flying, the textures seems unrealistic at best (see attached image below). Could anyone help me with this issue or am I seeing an issue all users have?
July 5, 201213 yr My installation is so tweaked with addons that I have no idea anymore what the default night would look like. But the only place where you should get pitch black like that would be flying overwater under 8/8 cloud and no moon or some similar scenario where there are absolutely no lights. Normally the night textures are far more nuanced than that. Do you have REX? If not, I strongly encourage you to get it. It will revolutionize the sim including flying at night. But there is also a freeware Night Environment Upgrade that was released a long time ago. It may have been lost on AVSIM in the hack but if you check FS.com you may find it Ian
July 5, 201213 yr Author Thanks, Yes I have REX and this is the main reason why my display has been revolutionised which I love! But it this sort of green texture issue toward the leading edge slats that's bugging me, and its only present at night I'll look into that Night Environment Upgrade kiwiflyer45, thanks.
July 5, 201213 yr Author So I installed Night Environment Upgrade and it did'nt fix the issue, ive added 2 more pics you can clearly see the blue on the aircraft near the belly and the green/blue on the wing as well.
July 5, 201213 yr Uncheck the pitch black if you have it checked in the REX interface. You may have to restore your default textures.
July 6, 201213 yr Author Hi Rafal, I unchecked Pitch black in the REX interface and have seen no change. Is there any thing I can do know to correct this issue?
