re-install registration failure

Featured Replies

Upgraded to Win 7 64 bit so clean install FSX. Re-installed RC4, entered product key - says "Registration - not responding". Do I need a new key?

When you upgraded to Win 7 you probably reformatted your HD so you will need a new key. If your e-mail address and user name has not changed just use the automatic registration procedure. If not it will have to be handled manually by sending e-mail to [email protected] subject registration update including your old e-mail address and user name, your new product identification including any "-" (copy\paste it into your e-mail from the RC registration dialog) and if known your purchase date. If you have an earlier version of rc than 4.3 build 3845 request a download link.

Be sure jdtllc.com is passed through your PC and Internet spam filters.

Win 7 dropped some runtime libraries need to run and register RC. See the 713 pinned topic at the forum head. You will also need to run RC by right clicking on it and choose run as admin. Later create a shortcut to it with that property set.

If you can use the automatic system you should have a new key within an hour. Manual processing might take a day or two.

After installing RC be sure to update fsuipc and makerwys from the links in the pinned topic. After the updated makerwys is installed rerun the scenery database rebuild again.
