  1. I have all of the NA sceneries and all of the airports except Goheen. I like the freeware Portland, just vacationed there 2 weeks ago, and Bowerman. Also have Lancair, never use, and FSX Go, though I've had trouble with it since upgrading to Win7. I don't even want to think about how much I've spent on it all.

Correction: Just the battery has to be switched on. The scenery issue was unrelated. It is an excellent airplane!

OK I've got it now. Contrary to the Quick Start Guide, the battery, & avionics also, I think, have to be switched on before the unlock click-spots appear. Fabulous airplane although resource hungry. Frame rates OK but my Orbx scenery seems to be taking a hit.

I just installed it. Mixture & prop levers are unstable. They "flutter". Props twitch as the prop lever jumps around. I use a CH throttle quadrant.
  5. Upgraded to Win 7 64 bit so clean install FSX. Re-installed RC4, entered product key - says "Registration - not responding". Do I need a new key?
  6. Thanks Fritz. I thought as much. I switch carb heat and pitot heat at the same time. So I can always refer to the pitot switch position.Stephen
  7. I have not found a carb heat lever anywhere and yet my carb did ice up and then did clear in response to the toggle switch on my CH throttle quad assigned to that function.
  8. Fortunately I had FSPS, though I'd never used it since I never use 2D panels, with VC cockpits being so good these days. Also it was good that Just Flight's excellent DC3 does have a 2D panel. With a few mouse clicks I swapped a guage for the default King Air XPDR and problem solved. The main 2D panel comes up with shift 1 and Iv'e got a transponder. Thanks RonzieStephen aka stephinder
  9. I've just recently bought Just Flight's DC-3 and was disappointed to find that it does not have a transponder. So RC-4 cannot track it. That may be realistic but going back to FSX default ATC is not. Is there a way around it. I tried changing the squawck code in the RC interface but it didn't help.
  10. I solved the rcd saving problem by directing the path with the flt/.wx button and just now had a flight with no error.
  11. OK its fixed. I directed the path with the flt/.wx button and it works. I don't know how I overlooked that. My run time error (another post) seems to be fixed as well. I'm a happy pilot tonight! Its a great program. ThanksStephen
  12. There are two file folders named "Flight Simulator X Files". One lives in "My Documents" and contains flight plans, FSUIPC auto-save, etc. The other is in "My Pictures" and has screen shots. Yet when "Load Previously Saved RCD Files" opens it - it is empty.
  13. I have the same problem saving RCD file. The "Flight Simulator X Files" folder opens but is empty.
  14. Suddenly, I'm having the same run time error problem. FSX & XP I just registered my FSUICP and I wonder if that has something to do with it. It was OK until now but I had noticed that the RCD file is not saved when I save a flight. The "Flight Simulator Files" folder opens but it's empty. Then I registered FSUIPC and now this error happens.
