July 17, 201213 yr Guys, what is your opinion of the watercooling system shown in the video? Looks like it is very much integrated, could be a good start in watercooling (though expensive I guess) for those who have never had it before. Please comment. Thanks, Dirk.
July 19, 201213 yr Commercial Member It caught my eye until he quoted the speeds. 4.9-5.0GHz using that? I already get that on air with my Nochtua. Now if he said he was getting 5.5GHz or something then I would have serously given it a look. Looks cool though. July 19, 201213 yr I don't have sound on my PC here at work so I can tell what level of hardware they're using or what the temps are, so I can't say whether or not this is an effective solution for what it's intended to be used for, but I'll make some general observations: Looks like the pump is integerated into the MOSFET/VRM cooler or the external water cooler. That means this is a proprietary cooling solution, only usable with this motherboard or water cooler. It's a good idea to cool the MOSFETs/VRMs but I wouldn't integrate the pump there, as it means you can't upgrade your pump without simply adding another one in serial or creating a whole separate loop.
July 30, 201213 yr Author @TechguyMaxC: Ok, got it thanks. @Clutch Cargo: the point is to have a decent and quite cooling without opening the box each time to clean the cpu's radiator from dust and messing with the fans. Cheers, Dirk.
July 31, 201213 yr I did a bit more digging into this and it looks like the pump is not integrated into the VRM/MOSFET waterblock, the board simply includes a cooler that combines a heatpipe and a water channel, allowing you the option to water cool these components with your own water cooling solution should you choose to do so. That's a pretty cool feature IMHO!
