July 19, 201213 yr First of all, thanks for offering a 3D RXP integration. I'm happy with it, at daytimes. At night, it seems like the gauge lighting is missing in the VC. From the screenshots, you can see that the day stuff works and the 3D RXP model of yours is active and allows for the RXP knobs to work just fine in the VC. But when switching to darker phases, only the rest of the panel is lit while the RXP units stay dark (except for the screens). Day. Night. If this only happens at my end, please disregard. But I've tried it with different panel.cfg files in place and that's the best I could achieve.
July 20, 201213 yr Can't offer any help here, other than to say that I see the issue as well. As I fly mostly real-time, real-wx +- a few hours of my own time zone here in the northern hemisphere, I'm not doing a lot of night flying with these long summer days so I haven't given it much thought. The buttons are visible enough, even in the dead of night (and I must admit I know them by position anyway), that it doesn't cause me real problems, but it would be nice to find a way to get them lit. Scott
July 20, 201213 yr Author Fully agreed. Not a problem on the actual operation, just a noticeable detail when the lights are on. And I mean it's way better than looking at a flat radio stack all the time, as on some other RXP configs. Those 3D models really make a difference on the VC atmosphere. Thanks for confirming.
July 20, 201213 yr And I mean it's way better than looking at a flat radio stack all the time, as on some other RXP configs. So, SO true! Scott
July 20, 201213 yr Commercial Member we can't really do anything about the night lighting. The reason being is that it's baked into our stuff. Once you have a 3rd party guage... well.. we can't do anything about that. Other devs use "regular" lights which the RXP stuff can accept... we don't. Sorry.. July 20, 201213 yr Author Makes sense. Thanks for answering. I guess the C310 represents the intermediate solution (when just exchanging the gauge names) while the Baron allows for full VC knob control of the RXPs.
July 20, 201213 yr Author By the way, I've just found that adjustable gauge backlighting (for all non RXP gauges). Now how cool is that?
