Ai TimeTable 2 - Problem on WideFS

Thanks Paul. I will search for entries containing FLIGHT. I'm pretty certain I did uninstall FS9 from that PC but will check.

I'm not familiar with the F1 Registry Fixer. I've googled it and downloaded it. I'll give it a try when it cools down a bit! Thanks!

Hi to all,

so yesterday I have made a test using a Virtual Machine (VM) with AITT2 installed + wideclient and the laptop with FS9 + wideserver, in order to understand the correct "timing" of aircaft respect to traffictoolbox window of FS9.

I have configured on the VM (using Microsoft VirtualPC) the E: drive as an external drive; my E: drive is an USB HD with FS9 on-board.

Next I have exported the FS9 registry key from the laptop and imported it on the VM.

In this manner the integration with WideFS works:

The image of departure timetable is in-line with traffic explorer data. The same is for the arrivals one:

eglc_wfs_arr.jpg

In final, at the moment one can work with WideFS in the manner I have explicitated before, where the VM stay for a networked PC or (if the way of exporting and importing FS9 registry key) putting a FSPath=<Main FS folder full path> line into the aitt2.ini

Thanks for all suggestions!!

P.S. - Plase refer to the

AITT2 site or geniX site for program setup and update!

Yes yes yes.

Thanks to all guys in this topic I have some news for you: an AITT2 patch that temporarily resolve the issue about FSPath. Infact I have discovered that in any case -when the registry key of FS9 is not found- AITT2 open the directory browser.

Attention that in the drive combo-box there was (and there is) also the shared network drive selection.

The patch can be downloaded here

Simply overwrite the one you have in your main AITT2 folder. To work with WideFS you may follow the same steps of some reply before: a shared network drive and the FSPath line in the aitt2.ini that point to the main "full-path" fs9 folder.

let me know and thank you to all!

Will test this afternoon! Thank You VERY MUCH for the quick response!!!

Have a Wonderful Day

Hi,

I've downloaded the patch and can now see flight info via WideFS.

One question. Once an aircraft starts to push-back shouldn't the status change to "Departed"? It still shows "LAST CALL" until the aircraft is well on its way to the departure point and then suddenly disappears from the board.

But it's looking a lot better - well done!

Hi Ray,

thank for the question. Unfortunately, all the AI state pre-taxi out are alive for few seconds (in FSX instead they remain up for minutes), so it is very hard to associate a particular event to them.

Anyway, try to change something in FSUIPC or RealTime settings of AITT2...

In the meanwhile, I'll go to re-analyze the question on the code...maybe you a very lucky guy.

Ehehehe.

Thanks very much!

Thanks. I'll have a play with the settings and see if I can reach a good compromise.

Hi Ray, I turned my refresh settings down as far as possible and it is pretty good... Not instantaneous but then again, I have been sitting at the airport for many a flight where the board said ON-TIME , we should have started boarding 15 minutes ago and there wasn't even a plane at the gate from the incoming flight so in the RW they are often a bit behind as well LOL!@! ;)

Hi Ray,

an aircraft disappear from the board when it is no more detect by FSUIPC. Actually I'm working on optimization...I see you very interested...

Have a nice WE

Hi Paul,

Care to share your settings so we're working on the same level?

The last time a delay hit me was a hop down to Heathrow for an onward flight to Johannesburg. Can't blame British Airways - high winds at EGLL were causing delays. Oh, and the volcanic eruption in Iceland in 2010 when I was stuck in Geneva Airport for a couple of hours!

Hi geniX, do you use Pete Dowson's TrafficLook? I've been using that for checking what AiTT2 is showing me.

Good luck with the optimisation. I'm looking forward to the Olympics and especially tonight's opening ceremony. Let's hope everything goes smoothly! Hope you have a nice weekend too.

Hi Ray,

with my family yesterday were very happy in seeing the Olimpici ceremony!!

All of my family, tough we live in the south of Italy, have a special soul for all the United Kingdow.

In the past we stay for holidays in Scotland and - for the honeymoon- in Ireland...;)

So, I use traffic toolbox from Microsoft (but also that of Pete is ok) in order to verify the data.

And...surprise: the new release is available...pleae give an eye.

And, for those that love the risk, please put the line ACND=true into the [system] section of aitt2.ini: it will try to connect directly the remote pc with FS2004 to the Z: drive on the client pc.

This MUST be made upon the following considerations:

1. No FS9 registry key on the client pc.

2. No FSPath=bla bla on the client pc (in the aitt2.ini)

IF it will work, you should see a network drive Z: on the client pc...

The week-end is always here: nice for all of you!

Hi geniX,

I enjoyed the Olympics opening ceremony too but it was late when I went to bed. Even later for you!

My brother went to Bari many times on holiday. He loved it. Being married to an Italian made it easy.

Very tired today but I will download the latest build tomorrow and make the required changes to the ini.

Thanks!

Sorry for the delay in replying. I've done the above but unfortunately I'm not seeing a Z drive, times in AiTT2 all show 01:00 and Remarks show Landed or Delayed. Departures all show Delayed or Closed.

Reinstating the path to FS2004 and restarting AiTT2 shows valid info for Arrivals and Departures.

I'm happy that I can now see correct flight info from FS9 in AiTT2. And without sounding ungrateful users who run this on a WideFS display would benefit from having a sizeable display.

The bitmaps for each airline are much larger than they are shown on the program and the font size has to be limited to around 10pt otherwise all the available flight info cannot be seen in the fixed width display.

The ability to size the display would be very useful. Not sure if that's possible or not. It would certainly make the display easier to read.
