'Using wind to save fuel'

Interesting video from the Boeing channel on YT. I was wondering, is this kind of thing possible in FS? It would be pretty neat rather than entering it manually for 52 waypoints!

Yo do not have to enter manually wind for every single waypoint. It is possible in FS in 2 ways, to make online service similar to boeing one, or to simulate service by reading weather data in FS and than filling FMC with collected data.

Interesting, thanks for sharing.

I've essentially been doing this for years, using ActiveSky. Once I've processed the route in ActiveSky, I'd put the overall average wind into the FMS and about 200nm prior to TOD re-run it and use the updated weather for the descent forecast.

Where do you put the average winds into the FMS? I can see where the decent forecast would go.
