Goodday,

 

Just installed a brand new Aerosoft/EHAM and planned a flight by FSCommander.

The plan is saved in the RC 4.3 directory.

By opening the plan in RC 4.3 the departure airport (EHAM) is not recognised by RC 4.3. ( Only the destination airport)

I have seen that my older saved flight has the same problem. Also flights to EHAM.

 

When I open RC 4.3 my FS2004 is going to mess up, and I'm somwhere on the globe in the air but not where I suppose to be.

 

Is here somebody who has or had the same problem, and can give someboday a solution in the right way for me??

 

(BTW I have made a rebuild of the database - (twice)

I have this airport in both FS9 and FSX and have no problems - I do not use FS Commander.

 

My flight plans are generated using FS Build and are exported without any SID and STAR information .

 

Try loading a flight using another program and if it is ok FS commander is the problem.If the problem is still present come back here and Ronzie may be able to help you further.

I have made a flightplan in the flightplanner of Flight simulator himself.

But the problem occures. Departing airport is not given in the flightplan.

No departing data, no center data (everything totally blank) only arriving airport data.

First, you need to insure your fsuipc and makerwys are current:

After installing your updated makerwys.exe, from within RC run the scenery database rebuild again. (If RC is not on your FS9 pc then first run makerwys.exe in your FS folder and then run the RC scenery rebuild.) Be sure the FS path you enter each time is correct when asked for by the scenery rebuild utility.

 

In rcv4\data folder make a safe copy of a4.csv. Then open it in word or wordpad, not Excel,) and search for EHAM. If it is there we'll now check the data path as follows:

 

In your FS folder open runways.txt in word or wordpad. It is a log of what makerwys performed and is huge.

 

There is a section for each default scenery pointing to in the section header the path to an AP file. For each add-on including afcad type files there is a section pair. The first section has a set of deletions and the second has the various data including runways, navaid frequencies, and other data for future use.

 

Search for Airport EHAM. What you want is the last pair for EHAM in runways.txt to point to the path of the Aerosoft EHAM, first section the deletions followed by the section for additions.

 

If you have other add-on paths for EHAM not in that Aerosoft EHAM folder (other than the FS default EHAM) then you could have a conflict. You can go into the confliction folders and rename the .bgl to .bgh to eliminate the duplicates. If you do this run FS to let its scenery index rebuild and then from within RC run the scenery database update.

 

That last section pair takes priority and its data is placed into r5.csv in your FS folder. When the scenery rebuild utility is run from within RC after makerwys runs, r5.csv is copied from your FS folder to the rcv4\data folder as r4.csv and then RC builds a4.csv from that. Make sure you click OK to everything and wait a second or so after the final OK and then close RC.

 

The FS9 default for EHAM looks like:

Restart RC and then load you plan including EHAM and it should be OK.

FS9 has slightly different coordinates than FSX but your should be similar.

After converting minutes and seconds to decimal the a4 coordinates match the plan coorinates for EHAM.

 

This is lengthy but shows all you require to compare your plan file to RC data.

Problem solved.
