Hi, In the absence of Dave, here in the UK we would use Unicom to announce our intentions and after a good look around take off heading to our destination.On entering a controlled airspace we would then pass relevant information over to the controller and follow any instructions given back.This would happen during the flight.At the destination airfield ,if no radio or control after a good look out announce our landing intentions again on Unicom. If flying in Europe each country has its own rules for VFR flying and the pilot has to keep up to date with them when planning a journey between countries.

Had the same problem.Just run the full program not the update and use the key and all should be good.That is how I sorted my problem out. Hope that this helps

Mal, You right click on the icon, when the box of options appears click on security and look at the bottom of the page .Tick the required box and then apply and you should be good!

Hi Dave, I have noticed other my last few flights that when trying to export flight plans from the Real World Flight Plan database that they are not importing across to the main FP panel in the correct format. I have just tried EGLL - EKCH and EGLL - EGAC ,the former imported the dep/arr airfields whilst the later imported Dep/Arr and two other waypoints. Can you check this out please?

Hi, You need to uninstall your current set up and reinstall into your other drive away from C:/ Program Files (86) as this will cause you problems. When you rerun the installer you should have an option to choose your location

Ian, I am in the middle of recovering from surgery,so that it will take me some time to give a full response. The main problems appear to centre around if the program is picking up the correct ways of say clearance delivery at various airports for example.I have flown various flights and not yet had a fully trouble free one! Bear with me as I do some detail research.The developers own admission ,the say it function is a weak point so that if we can help him produce an acurate product we should provide him some support.

Hi dave, As a newcomer to the program,I must say that is heading in thr right directionnin its present form. After a couple of false starts using the same route I have this evening managed to get up to cruise level without causing ATC to disown me,or threaten me!!!! I am flying this route,KPDX Pawli Q13 TACUS KLAS.I reached cruise level prior to Pawli and did not get any hand off to centre at all.The other point which was not correct was that the TOD point was 100 miles away which meant descending with 300miles to go.This was from a cruise level of 37000 ft.I tried adjusting the GS,Descent rate etc and found in all cases that the TOD was getting closer ,rather than further away. I gave up at that point.Closing down tonight gave me a FS error. I will reinstall,however this will have to be next weekend ie 17March as I am off into hospital for an op on my spine. Could some sort of corrumtion have caused the rogue TOD calcs or does the maths need reworking? Still a very good start to my usage!

Clive, Have you had a look at the drop down box within the blank screen which you are trying to export your plan.If you use the save option you will only save as vbf.format however the export button offers you the chance to save as .PLN or .FMS (X plane). Hope that this helps you.

Sorry to but in here. My pal who is deaf is wondering if you can provide a little more detail about using the non speech alternative.He can manage very well with Radar Contact as it has amessage box etc and he was hoping that Pilot2ATC will provide a more up to date ATC experience for him.

Hi Brian, Have you run Makeaways yet? This sort of problem happens if you have not run it. You can get it from Pete Dowsons site and place it in your main FS folder ,In RC you need to press the rebuild scenery button,enter your path to the sim and let Makeaways work.You also need to let it run in your FS folder too.If that has been done.then you may need to check your RC flight plan . Can you give us some more detail about this by doing a step by step detail of your actions.

Hi, The products produced by both developers are relative to the timeline each developer uses to base the aircraft on. It is therefore not wise to compare two products with differing timelines.

Hi, AMD cards can lead to variable performance with FSX.However many user get them to work. Have you as a starting point read through the documentation which came with the777 and followed the advice from PMDG re your settings in FSX.?

Hi, If you use an FS Build flightplan,copy it into your FSX planner and then save it.You should then be able to recall it under co routes. A lot of folks will just install FP mahually as this sometimes is the easier option.

Hi, Problems like this can be very frustrating and can take a lot of solving. You need to approach it in a methodical manner. Start by uninstalling each add on scenery in turn and then re-boot and run FS and check if the problem still persists.You do this until you can identify which add on is causing the problem. Tedious work but you will find out what is causing your problem. Good Luck
