I thought the exact same when I first started her up! Couldn't be more deserved!

I regularly fly to the Scilly Isles in thh BN-2 Islander with a Skybus livery from Lands End to St Marys, especially fun with the weather turned up! Earth simulations did a great job with this package, it looks simply stunning and superbly detailed! Looking forward to their release of the Isle of Man! Thanks for sharing the photos!

+1 I just hope Flight1 are considering upgrading the cockpit to the new Islander Avionics suite or maybe releasing an "extended" version to compete with the new "Twotter" extended from Aerosoft

I don't play Air Hauler but afer reading this thread it has definitely sparked an interest for me so I will have to look into it. It sounds like you're looking for something smaller than the C130 (which I also fly and despite some peoples views on CS I have to say I think it is a great add-on) and the C206/8 and Twotter were mentioned but it seems the Islander has been completely forgotten! Flight1 do a great version of it, I don't think it's very expensive anymore but I also regularly fly that all over the world and it is a fantastic plane to fly! Great STOL capabilities, rugged enough to handle any unprepared strips, and famous as a fantastic little lifter! I don't know quite how the Air Hauler system works in getting aircraft to "fly for your company" as it seems you have to buy the aircraft in the Air Hauler program? Either way, I couldn't help but mention the Islander after reading the thread.

What about the Electronig Flight bag, is that being included by PMDG? I know the CS T7 has a very basic EFB with charts for Moscow and very little else of value. Has there been word of PMDG doing a full, or just more usable/updatable system for their release? Sorry if this has been covered in another thread, there are so many out there now on the T7 it's hard to keep up with them all!

Hi all, I have recently started flying the Quality Wings BAe 146 and think it is a fantastic add-on, however I have one problem with it I cannot solve and would appreciate some advice on. I use FSBuild (v. 2.4.019) to plan my routes, however when I try to insert that route into the FMC as a company route it says it is not in the database. I have checked that the file is exported to fsx.xml and tried the Quality wings 757 but it said it cannot be created. I have flown one successful route by FMC but I had to enter all of the waypoints myself which was quite a long, laborious process. Could someone please help me sort this problem, or let me know of any fixes if any are out there. Thanks in advance!

Hi all, first off I'll apologise for creating yet another thread regarding the Flight1 BN-2, but I have received fantastic help in the past from avid fans of this add on and I'd like to call upon your knowledge once again! I'm interested in joining a Virtual Airline, and as you'd probably have guessed by now I'd like to fly the BN-2, preferably in the UK but I would do other places in the world. The trouble I'm having is finding an existing Virtual Airline that will allow me to fly routes with this aircraft. If anybody knows of any Virtual Airlines, or is part of a group already that would be interested in accepting another member, to fly this bird I would appreciate it greatly if you could let me know. I have looked for virtual airlines online and have found many but most dealing with heavy metal, and very few that will deal with light aircraft. I fear I'm just not looking in the right places but other than google searching I am at a lost of where to look. Thanks for any help in advance! Stuart

Thanks for both of your replies, I've found some great repaints that I'm going to give a try! Extra special thanks to CODY614 for your link as the Skybus Isle of Scilly repaints will definitely come in handy, as will the Loganair Highland Park repaint as the Highlands is another favourite area of mine, just need Orbx to cover that area now! Thanks again guys!

I frequently fly the Flight1 BN-2 Islander, some carribean flights, some Australian routes, but mainly around the UK. However, I was wondering if anyone who also flew this great plane knew of any liveries that could be applied? I recently saw the Top Gear episode where they cross the English Channel and realised for the first time that the UK coastguard aircraft that does a low fly-past is a BN-2, so a Coastguard livery would be pretty cool to have if there is one out there? I think there is a repaint option, but I'm not sure, and if there is I definitely don't have the skills to use it properly, I was hoping for something a bit simpler to use. I know it's probably a big ask for some simple, free liveries, but any direction anyone can send me towards would be appreciated! Thanks in Advance!

I have installed and successfully run the ORbx EU ENG package and I love it, it looks fantastic and runs super smooth on my system. I haven't had it clash with any of my other add on sceneries or aircraft until recently. I was taking off from St Just at lands end in the Flight 1 BN-2 Islander over to St Mary's on the Scilly Isles, for which I have the Earthy Simulations Isles of Scilly add on, which actually looks better than ORBX and is a fantastic must have for anyone who flies to these little islands. Anyway, I digress, as I took off and passed over the coast at Lands End, I had fields where the Atlantic should have started! I still had little outcrops of Islands and some even complete with lighthouses, but I had fields and trees all the way to where the Isles of Scilly scenery started. I tried moving things around in my scenery library so that I had Orbx below everything I have added for the UK (Scilly Isles, mega airport Heathrow etc) and still had the problem. The only way I can get rid of it is if I turn off Orbx, so I can only assume that it is causing the problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem with the ENG scenery pack, or any other packages that might be able to help me? I don't know why it worked for weeks and then decided to have a meltdown, I put that down to one of the many known FSX instabilities and mood swings. I'd love to get this great scenery working again, and would greatly appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thanks in advance!

Apologies for it taking me so long Hasse but you were absolutely correct, after many frustrating hours and a fair wedge of money spent trying to fix my problem it was a simple, free, 5 minute BIOS update that solved the issue and I haven't had a single problem since. Thanks very much for your advice, sorry again it took so long to post my gratitude!

Wow thanks for all the replies, links, and ideas guys! Very much appreciated! Some great looking stuff there, definitely going to buy the Dangerous Airports 1 for Barra and the Glasgow/Edinburgh UK2000 sceneries for the LoganAir flights. Also have to say, after seeing the Scilly Isles scenery from Earth Simulations that is a definite must have for me now too, I'd never heard of that pack before so thanks a lot for that! The liveries look good too, I've now got an Aer Araan livery and the St. Barths Commuter too to mix it up a bit. Have to say as well that sounds like an incredible experience, I would love to have an experience like that in this aircraft. Thanks again fellow simmers!

Thanks for all the ideas, it's given me some new routes to try so will hopefully keep me busy for a while! If you want to do UK flights I cannot recommend Orbx ENG enough, it looks a lot better than the Ground Environment scenery, not quite as accurate as the VFR stuff but it has a lot of 3D objects (which the VFR doesn't and forced me to swap) and it seems to be a lot easier on fps than both of them. For £30 it's impossible to do better in my opinion. If you're thinking of getting the BN-2 and some scenery an added bonus is that it's relatively slow (Vne 177kts) you shouldn't notice the scenery loading or lagging behind so it looks great everywhere. Thanks for all your help fellow simmers, if you think of any more routes feel free to let me know Just to add, if you didn't want to do UK flights I'm sure the Orbx packages for AU would be great and work just as well. Would be good to do flights over the reef too as there are a couple of AU reef tour liveries included in the BN-2 package. I'm tempted to get the Ground Environment Tropics Atlantic & Pacific but I wasn't convinced with the screenshots to fork out the money, anyone else tried this scenery? If so what did you think? That + Rex water would look good

Thanks Wendall! I actually flew the SABA-TNCM route in the Winair out of complete luck as it was the only route I could find that they flew online, it was a great flight, especially with the FlyTampa St Maarten airport! Do you know of any routes that BA fly (or used to fly as I'm not sure if they are still in service with BA?) with the Islander?

I've recently purchased the Flight 1 BN-2 Islander and have completed a few flights around the UK and a Carribean flight but I want to start doing flights/routes that the plane would fly in real life. I really like flying around the UK so I only use the BA or Shetland livery really but I am struggling to think of realistic flights to complete. I have tried searching for BA flights with this aircraft but cannot find any. I have also recently purchased Orbx ENG and am looking at the UK2000 airport 3 for 2 sale so I can get some good scenery/airports for this plane that I love to fly. Any suggestions welcome and appreciated! Thanks!
