July 23, 201213 yr Hello all I don't know if anyone can shed some light on this but when I first bought the NGX, back when it first came out, I was amazed at how FPS freindly it was, especially given the sophistication of the thing. It seeemd to me that PMDG was really getting a handle on the ability to optimise where back in the days of the 747 release anything but the most powerful machine on modest settings would struggle to run this complex sim. I wondered about the service packs esp 1c but from what I read that is not supposed to cause performance probelms. The fact is that I pulll out of KLAX now struggling to get above 15 FPS with Autogen etc set on Normal. Well, even the old 747 did better than that so not sure what has happened. My rig is getting on a little but not that much: CPU 17 980 O/C to 3.8 GTX 480 6 G RAM DDR3 Hybrid solid state and HD drives. Would appreciate any helpful suggestions. Thanks Neil G
July 23, 201213 yr Author Thanks for the reply, In terms of scenery I have recently installed my Eng and Wales, Gen x VFR scenery again, as well as one or two FTX areas including NZ. I never run PMDG airdraft with these, though. I have installed the Bronco, A2A Mustang and P47 and, the most likely possible culprit I reckon, Accu-Feel. I wonder if this latter could constitiute a problem though I must say it doesn;t seem to be a prob elsewhere. Neil
July 23, 201213 yr All of these scenery addons will impact FPS. Take a look at the other recent FPS thread discussion. It may help things for you. George Morris
